August 31, 2015

Hi guys! so it has been a goood week. SO hate to break it to ya, but we did not have any baptisms. BUT HEY its alll goood!! Seriously these people will be baptized here in the next few weeks. Claudio is slowly gaining a testimony of Joseph Smith and the BOM. He actually went to have a baptismal interview with our district leader, but he didn't pass bc he smoked that day. But it actually was a tender mercy that he did, because we want him to have a solid testimony before he is baptized. The lil girl Pricilla will be baptized in like 2 weeks!

This week we were so blessed to find this girl named Lara! She literally is an angel and una investigadora de oro. She's 12 and one day this week we were walking in the street and she ran up to us and asked if we were from the church. She invited us in and made us pizza haha and we taught a ll about God and Jesus Christ and she totes wants to be baptized. Her fam is so great and hopefully will give her permission to do it! She came to have a lil tour of the chapel on Saturday with us, and then on Sunday she came to stake conference and loved it! We put a baptismal date with her for Brits birthday! the 26 of sept hehe! SUper stoked she's awesome.

On wednesday we will be heading to Neuquen to hear elder Teixeira speak to our misison! he's from the 70 and so that will be sick. Im so excited to see all my mission pals too!!

Yesterday we helped a recent covert in our ward named Alejandra make emapanadas to sell! We made 12 dozen! Im a pro and will be fun to help you all fall in love with empanadas, they're addicting. But yeah I am doing real good! The ward is all heading off to Buenos Aires tomorrow for they're annual temple trip!! They are all so excited. WHat a blessing it is for us to be able to drive 30 mins to the temple. They take a 14 hour bus ride. I love you all and wish you a happpy week! and HAPPY BDAY KEVLARRR on the 4th! love you poops! you da best dad iv e ever had.

HI FAM we had such a goood week lemme tell ya. This lil area of ours is being blessed. I love Roca. Every day is an adventure and the Lord is with us. So we have 3 baptisms planned for the 29 of august! next saturday, Claudio, Rocio, and Pricila!! We have so much faith that these people will really be able to reach their baptismal dates. Claudio is like a 50 year old and I LOVE HIM he is so funny and he really likes me haha. The only thing is, he does notttt believe in the BOM nor J Smith. He just cant accept it. But he comes to church and participates in the classes and knows a ton about the bible and what not, he just cant get over these doubts. Buttt he cant say that cause I know he truly hasn't read and prayed. But he will read this week and I knooow he will receive his answer. He wants to be baptized so bad! But he doesn't think he needs to know that the BOM is true. Hey keep Claudio in your prayers. He is such a good guy. Rocio is 15 and so cute. Her family members are all members of the church. SHe wants to be baptized, but I just think she is scared. But we are working oh so much with her. And then Pricila is a cute lil 8 year old who's mama is less active but we love working with her cause its so fun teaching lil kids. But guys you have no idea how much I love these three people. We were fasting on saturday, and in the evening we were walking around and I guess I just felt so close to the spirit I just started crying out of nowhere and my comp started laughing and asked whats wrong and I just said that I love these people so much and I just want them to be baptized so bad. Like I just desire their salvation! I just want them to be so happpy. I know Satan is working so hard on them cause he wants just the opposite. But the Lord is providing and Im excited for this week to see the tender mercies he will be putting in our path.

Okay do you guys remember me talking about Anyta like 7 months ago?? well she is a convert and I was with her in Cervantes. Well as I said I am back here in Roca (in the same zone) and i totally saw her yesterday at church!! I ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug and she like dragged me into a room to talk to her and we just started crying! ahhh I love her so much! Seriously the best reunions happen on the mission. She's not in my ward or in my area, but I will be visiting her haha! She is so strong in the church now and maybe wants to serve a mission! SO so awesome.

Also last night we had a cool lil experience, we asked the bishop of the ward to give us priesthood blessings. This is something that our mish pres told us we should all do. SO we did, and it was so sweet! The bishop now has more confidence in us and I think could feel of our animo! I don't know how to say animo in ingles.

But yeah guys this week is gunna be such a good one! Please pray for my investigators! They need your prayers! My faith is growing so much. Im so grateful to be back here in Roca. I loove this work it is so rewarding and so great and so hard and tiring. I don't think iv e ever been more tired7had more energy in my life. If that makes sense? I sure love my fam! Cuidense mucho!! Im off to play futbol!

Hello

Aug. 17, 2015

This is all I got this week.....but she sounds great!!!!  No pics;(

HI FAM! okay so first of all Im in love with garrets wedding pics. SOS TAN CAPO PRIMO!!! Te quiero!! SO excited for you guys. Tiffany is a beauty and i looove her dress omg. SO this week was fantastic. For reals such a grrreat week. I love my new area. The members are soo great and we gunna seee miracles this transfer. We went to Neuquen this week for a meeting with all the leaders of the mission. It was literally the most powerful and awesome thing. We have a goal as a mission to baptize 175 people before 29 august. That means 2 baptisms every companionship. We are so pumped. I know we will do it without a doubt! At the end of the meeting, we all sang the spirit of God and like I tell you the truth I have never felt the spirit like that. SO amazing to feel of the power and reality of this work. Our new mish pres is awesome and has so much faith. My faith is increasing and I am a happy camper here in Roca. My district and zone are so awesome and were already so united. We already saw miracles this week. Its amazing to see the Lords hand in this work, I know he is blessing us as a mission, and is blessing me personally. I am gaining a love for my Savior and his gospel that I never knew I could have. He lives and stands shoulder to shoulder with us day to day. Trust in Him! Thats what I am doing! I love you all! ps farrows in the narrows...classic hahaha.

Transferrrs!!!

Aug. 10, 2015

Well hola! Happy pday day you guys! wooow so I finished the longest, and greatest transfer of my life. 8 weeks long! But spent with the best comp ever. I was transferred this morn to ROCA, my area is called Universitario. SOo I was already in this zone a few transfers ago when I was in cervantes. But hey  its all good and for some reason Im back in this zone! Im pumped to be here and work and work and work. My  comps name is Hna Llamo from Peru! SHes about 4 feet tall and super cute. Elder Sulzen is in my zone haha so that ll be fun to talk about good ole Esco memories!

Wow so this week sure was a good one. We had a ward talent show this week that us misisonaries planned and put together. Me hna terry and the elders all sang and did the Cup Song from pitch perf. It was so fun and everyone loved it haha. Also, for a relief society activity this week, me and terry taught all the lady's to make hummus!! They loved it and were super excited to write down teh recipe and make it!

OMG before I forget HAPPPY BURTHDAY BROTHA BLAKE!! Oh how I love you and send you the biggest birthday abrazos y besos from Argentina. te quiero hermanito

This week we got a random text from someone asking if we were the American missionary girls...obvio we said yeah. Turns out it was this guy named Nacho who we had given a lil passalong card to a few weeks ago. he asked to meet us in the park that day. SO we went and we just had the coolest lil talk with this guy! Hes new to Neuquen, so we obvi gave him the welcome haha. Hes from Mendoza, AR. Hes like 25...and has no friends here so he wanted to get to know some peeps. We talked ot him for a lil but them had to go cause we had an appointment. But we asked if we could sing him a song and then say a prayer with him. We sang lead kindly light..and not kidding, the spirit literally was so strong.Afterwards he told us that not only his ears were filled, but also his whole body  was filled with something he'd never felt before. I love the way just singing a simple hymn can bring the spirit so strong, just in a random park. Turns out he doesn't live in our area, but still such a sweet experience and such a nice kid.

Aw man I don't have too much more time and I'm sacred to send pics cause this computer says theres a virus, so ill save that for next week. But I am stoked for this next transfer. I love this work that I am a part of. On the hour and a half bus ride I had over here to roca this morn, I just looked ou the window the whole time with tears in my eyes as I said a prayer of thanks. I am so blessed. So grateful for my mission. Yesterday was so hard saying by to the members and friends Ive made in Neuquen. These are eternal friendships im making and I just have so much love for these people. Especially so hard saying by to Marisol last night! She is the best and is my Argentina mom.

I love you all and wish you a happy week!

Love hermana farrow

ps so sad sugar and honey are gone! but its for the betta, they always kinda bugged me. and i absolutely loove the pic of my cute grandparents and Molly! love you all chau chau

Heyo!!!

Aug. 3, 2015

HI there happy AUGUST.

Happpy birthday Blakey in just cuatro dias! Wow you are an old man. Hope you all are just enjoying summma and having a good ole time! This week wasn't anything tooo special, I do nooot like saying that because every week is spesh. This is the final week of this transfer! Weiiirrrd how fast time flies. This has been an 8 week long transfer because of the whole switcharoo with Pres Lovell and Casariego. But wow I am grateful to have been with Hna Terry because we have had so much fun and worked to well together. We also have the same time in the area...so we have nooo idea how transfers will be next week!! I would be fine staying here in Neuquen another 6 weeks. I still feel like I have a lot to do before I leave this area. SO we will seeeee!

We are working with a few different people right now. Especially Jose! He has a baptismal date for the 29 of august...but didn't come to church sunday cause he was working. We have a lesson with him tonight. We will see how it all goes...he tells us he wants to know that the church is true, but he doesn't wanna pray in the way God has set. I don't wanna sound negative, but this work is harrrrd. Its so sad to see so many people reject the message of the restoration. Even less active members...like yesterday this member told us he is leaving the church because he doesn't want to pay tithing. He told me and my comp that one day we would grow up and see that paying tithing is not just and is not right, that one day we would see that this church is not true basically. We just looked at him and it was so hard for me not to get sad and mad and tear up and just pour my heart out to him! YES HERMANO, this is the Lords church, and NO SIR I will never be leaving this church because its the only thing that brings true happiness into my life and I have had countless confirmations that this is the only true church upon the earth. But hey its okay every one has their agency! Its just so sad to see people reject the truth, even when they have seen a witness.

But hey I love this work and this church. I have never felt closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior. I know Christ lives! He loves us. This church is so prefect and it is so evident in a person to see that they are truly disciples and living the gospel. There is nothing greater than seeing someone progress in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is so true. Keep being disciples of Christ and keep letting your light shine for all to see. We are a peculiar people! Me and Hna Terry are even more peculiar here because we ride around on bikes with helmets saying hello to every person we see. hehe. Love you all! Hey sibs next week right me and send me pics okay!
