May 18th, 2015

Another great week has passed us by! Well transfers went down today! Hna Rocha got transferred to San Martin, the prettiest place in the mission. She was super sad to leave and totes cried this morning saying by. It was a crazy transfer and one Ill remember forever that's for sure haha! But a very very good one and I learned tons! And hey I am going to be training this transfer!! So I will meet/get my new comp on Thursday! Supper duper pumped and so excited. Latina or gringa?! we will seeee.

So this week was so so awesome. SO much happened I don't know where to begin! We had exchanges this week and the sweet lil Hna Narvaez came to Limay and we worked together. Shes from Colombia and it was so fun just to preach the good word together. We had such a successful day and saw miracles and we have an awesome new investigator named Pedro who has a baptismal date for the 13 of June. Exchanges are fun and I always love em

I had a super kewwwl experience this week that was super kewwl. So I got a lil sick this week for the very first time in the mish. Just this super bad headache and stuff (don't worry mom im fine). But anyways the nurse of the mish gave me some suggestions of what to do, and then said ya know the best medicine is a Priesthood blessing. But I kinda felt dumb calling the elders and asking them cause like I wasn't dying or anything, but I thought hey why not. Soo a lil while later 4 elders came over to the apartment and oh man 2 of them being the assistants cause they're in my district ya know. So embarrassing cause I had just woken up and looked awesome haha but its fine. Anyways they all came in and I asked on of the APs to give the blessing. He asked if I would like it in English, so that was super nice! Such an awesome blessing and he said some pretty neat stuff that was just what I needed to hear, like my Father in Heaven is so pleased with who I am becoming and that the work Ive done is incredible. And hey the Priesthood is restored cause I felt so much better the next morn and I am back to work mode!!

On Sunday we got to see the dedication of the new temple in Cordoba Argentina!! For reals it was soo sweet and Pres Uchtdorf came and gave an awesome talk. I loved it and so cool to have 2 temples in Argentina now! Now we just need one in Neuquen. One day for sure.

Well fam that's pretty much all for now! I'm super pumped for this upcoming week and to begin training! And soo excited for all of you and the wedding on Saturday! wooohooo! Ill be looking forward to Monday to see all the pics! so please send many! I love you all and you are in my prayers every day. Thank you for your love and prayers every day!! they are definitely felt over here on this side of the world.

Love hermanita farrow

But yep totally remember her! Love you allll!

May 4, 2015

HELLO! Hey everyone!!! whats goin onnnn. sounds like you all had a fun week..watching a boxing match and all. cant believe its already MAY?! que loco no? for reals where has the time gone. ANd bails is gradutating next month and my lil brother is getting married in like 20 days WHATTT.

Anyways this has been one real good weeek! Hna Resquin went home! Yeaaah president called us and was like you are going home tomorrow hna resquin. SO yeah now its just back to me and good ole hna rocha and for that I am so thankful because trios are a lil crazy but all is well now and we are working well together which is such a blessing and we are getting super close. Love her. Im excited for you guys to meet her when we skype hahaha I am teaching her English so she can say hi. We are excited.

Alrighty sooo on Thursday we had the AMAZING opportunity to go see Meet the Mormons and invite like everyone (investigators and less actives and members and randoms on the street) to come. And it was SUCH a success. The whole theater was fullll. And the movie was so great. But wanna know the best part...I saw my bestest friends in the mission like Hna Caballero! ANd ANyta (the girl who was baptized in Cervantes) and members from Cervantes and Centenario and omg it was the greatest night of my life seeing everyone! I don't think Ive had a happier day in the mission! Cant imagine how Heaven will be with all the reunions of loved ones and what not.

Also we had this new investigator, Walter!! Hes like 70 and super kewl. SO we were in a lesson with him this week and we{re talking and explaining the plan of salvation and all the sudden he stops us and asks, Why do you smile so much? He told us he felt uncomfortable cause we were smiling and so happy hahaha but oh man. The only answer we could think of to tell him was that we have the gospel in our lives and we are happy people!! So Hna Resquin whispered to me that I need to stop smiling in the lesson because he felt uncomfortable. Its hard to teach and not smile. But anyways Walter is such a good man. He wanted to guess how old we are, so he thought hna rocha was 40 and thought I was 32 HAHAHA oh my goodness it was the funniest thing cause he was dead serious. But ahh I love him and he told me he felt so much calmness come over him while we were teaching him and for the first time in a while his head didnt hurt! SO I was like this is the Holy Ghost, The spirit of God!! ANd he was like is it really?! and Im like yesss. He thought that was super cool and so did I cause it confirms to me that I am doing my job!

Cant really think of too much else that happened this week. The days all just mush together and for reals cant believe how quick its going by. I am doing good and smiling everyday, even if it makes people feel uncomfortable haha. Life is good and I feel ever so blessed to be on a mission in this crazy city of Neuquen. I love it. The ups and downs and twist and turns. Its all so worth it because there truly is no feeling in the world like being a representative of Jesus Christ and testifying of his life and perfect example.Hey if you're having a hard or sad or bad day, go out and help someone and I promise you'll be happy! I love you all so so much and am so happy to be Hermana Farrow! I{ll be talking to you all on Sunday! At like 4 or 5 my time okay!

Love, Hermana Farrrrrrrrow

ps these pics are me and hna rocha after the movie in the citayyyy. City gurls lol

and the other...me and my fave hnas from Centenario!!! So much love for them! and it looked good in black and white lol

April 19, 2015

Hello my beautiful family!! Aww looked like you guys had such a great week and loved seeing the pics of my future sistaaaas wedding shower! chels you are so boootiful and I'm so excited for you and Blakey!

OKayy so family. Thank you for all your prayers! Really. They were def felt this week. Remember how I kinda had a rough week..well this one wasn't all so easy either haha but hey thats life right? Soo where to begin!

My district is super coool. We all live pretty close to the chapel so we pretty much play futbol every morning for exercise! So fun I love it haha. So Tues. morn we were playin soccer and my comp hna Rocha got this super bad pain in her back. Long story short, we began to walk home and the elders had to come give her a blessing in the dark at 7 in the morn on the side of the rode cause her pain was sups bad. ANd aw man I love the Priesthood...always get choked up when the elders give my comps blessings. We made it back to the pension and anyways long story short again we spent most of that day in the hospital! Turns out it was just somethin she ate and she is trooping along but we have to go back tomorrow morning  to have another test done? haha yay

OKKK and also this week we got a call from the APs telling us Hna Amurrio was being transfers (to my old area in Centenario) and that there was an emergency transfer in another area and that we would be getting a new companion, Hna Resquin. We were so sad to hear this because our lil trio was coming along and I absolutely loved Amurrio but hey its chill! Soo Hna Resquin is from Paraguay and looking forward to get to know her better.

We had a zone conference this week that was just so so great. I love Pres Lovell. He really is an inspired man and will be the prophet one day. Got some much needed personal revelation and insights!

Oh also guess who I finally saw! Elder Sulzen!! haha saw him in the mission office this week and is doing great!   He's a good kid. Oh and he's in Centenario tooo!

Its a struggle sometimes, the life ya know?? I feel like I say this every week, but our Heavenly Father knows us so perfectly and He has helped me in every moment of every day of these past 7 months. More in this week than ever! I find such peace and solace in turning to Him through prayer and the Book of Mormon. I sure love that book! I think I told this to Bails in my email to her, but I often get quite choked up when I think about the sacredness of my calling. When I really understand that I am a representative of my Savior and that I am part of the Lord's work, this is what helps me get through some tough days. Cling to the gospel my family! It is so true. I have always known it, without a doubt. But now I am only beginning to understand the importance of the gospel in our lives, how we are nothing without it. Always remember the goal you guys, its to make it back to our Father in Heaven. Esta vida es solo un tiempito! Las bediciones que nuestro padre celestial tiene preparadp para nosotros sone increibles!! Sorry its easier to say gospely stuff in spanish. I love you family. So so much. Mommy Im looking forward to Skype and cant wait to wish you a happy mamas day!!

Love hermanita farrow

Family!!!!!

April 13, 2015

Oh how I love you all tons. What a fun week you all had with the cousins and now Blakey home! So happy for yall. Well this week was a goood one! I am learning so much each day.  It actually is quite shocking to me of what a different person I am becoming. Not in a weird way, don't worry. I am just really really trying to do my best each day and trying to turn to my Savior in each moment. It is amazing to see the miracles that are put in my path each day as I strive to be obedient to the mission rules and a consecrated missionary. I really like my new area of Limay! The ward members are so so sweet and were so welcoming yesterday at church. We have a lot of new potential investigators from contacting this week! Also I am in a trio now so this will be different but a good change. Has to be for some reason right? It will be good! I love you all so much my dearest family. You are constantly in my prayers. Make it a good week okay!

Go read Romans 8:18.

Hey mom and dad, thank you for allowing me to have this opportunity to serve. It is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done. The mission is full of ups and downs. There have been moments in my mission when I have felt so alone and so down, but also the moments of complete opposite, the happiest most joyful of times. Times when I have felt literally so close to my Father in Heaven and Savior and these moments make up for the bad. So with that, voy a seguir adelante porque yo no puedo imaginar las bediciones que van a venir! La quiero familia. every single one of you!

Love,
Hermana Farrow

March 30, 2015

Well hey there everyone! Hope you all had a felizes pasquas!! I know I sure did. OKAY so President Lovell is making some crazy changes in the mission...soo my sweet lil area of Cervantes has been closed, just for the hermanas, so now the 2 elders have the whole town. So that means crazy unexpected transfers! I am in Neuquen! Hermana Farrow goes to the city! I am in the part called Limay. It is soo nice and maintained its so ridiculous compared to my last 2 areas haha I'm actually  can walk on paved roads and streets with stoplights you guys! It´s so cool. And soo many people oh my goodness! My district is all the office elders and the AP´s so that's sweet. And Pres Lovell is in my ward! Apparently this ward is el barrio celestial en la mision...so I'm pretty pumped. My new comp is Hna Rocha and is from Brazil. Shes 24 and her accent is kinda hard for me to understand cause shes new in the mish and learning spanish! So we are learning together! She got dat portuguese accent goin on. But she seems great and our apartment is HUUGE I am in Heaven haha. So yep here I am in a brand new transfer and area and things are going swell. So sad to say goodbye to my Hna Housty this morning at 4 am. Yes 4 am I am so exhausted cause i got less than 2 hours of sleep from packing and all that jazz hehe but all is well. Also so hard to say by to my recent convert Anyta and her mama Estela last night. Many tears were definitely shed and I just desire so badly for all to be well in their lives! I promised them Id come back and visit one day sooo yeah sorry ma and pa looks like you guys will behave to take me on a trip back to my patagonia home cause I missed the cruise this year haha.

Didn't you all just love general conference of so much? I absolutely loved it. Especially Holland´s talk. Man oh man I love him and the power in His words. I loved how the whole conference was based around the family, marriage, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ, because those truly are the things that matter most. What a beautiful spirit was felt as these prophets and apostles testified of the power and reality of the atoning sacrifice of our Savior and Redeemer. Because He lives, we have the opportunity to find peace and direction in this oh so chaotic world. Because He lives, we are able to start blank pages in our lives and look forward with faith. Because He lives we can not only have happiness in our day to day lives, but we have the opportunity to have lasting happiness and live with our families in the eternities to come. I know He lives.

I love my Savior Jesus Christ and it is an honor for me to wear his name and be a literal representative of Him for the next year of my life. I know I am far from perfect, but each day I am pleading with my Father in Heaven to help me become just a little bit more like my perfect example and older brother. Our weaknesses can be made to strengths as we turn and look for this Jesus in our lives (Ether 12 27 and 41). Pray to have te eyes to see the daily tender mercies and miracles the Lord puts in our paths and you will be able to see just how merciful He is. I have seen this and have felt the undeniable presence of the Savior in my life. Look for Him and you will find Him. I also had te chance to finish the Book of Mormon this week and reached my goal to finish before conference, and oh family and friends, that book is oh so true and I love it. Read and cherish it and you will see blessings being poured into your lives, I promise you!

I sure love my family and support group back at home! Hope you have a fantastic week. And hey cousin Elder Brandon Moon just wanted to give you a shoutout and say I love you tons! You are such an awesome missionary and absolutely loved your last letter. I know the joy and happiness you were talking about.

Make it a great week!

Happy Easters!!!!

March 30, 2015

HOLAAA. Feliz semana santa yall! Hope you all have a great week but theres no doubt about that...because you´ll all be in HONDURAS whaaat?! Crazy people! So fun. Hope you all eat some gooood cruise food for me and dad that you use those patches and don't get too sea sick!

OK so this week started out with exchanges with the hermana leaders. I went to Roca and was with Hna Guzman form Monterey Mexico!! Shes so cute and it was fun talking with some one who understand my deep love for Mexican food and guac and salsa and buritos.

Okay so Wednesday was the saddest day of my mish! Our amazzzing investigator dropped us. She had us come over and just told us that she doesn't want us to come back and that she doesnt understand why there are so many less actives in the church and actually I don't really understand why all of this happened. She walked us outside and as I gave her a last hug we both just started balling and oh my goodness it was so terrible! Me and Hna Houston went back home and just began to cry together! Estela told us she is not going to stop reading the Book of Mormon and praying. I know one day she will be a strong member of this church because she is so amazing, and obviously this is not her time right now.

We met the CUTEST lil girls this week who are our newest investigators!! Virginia is 14 and her lil sis Aldana is 9. We had a lesson with them on Saturday and they no absolutely nothin about relgion or Jesus Christ..so we just started with the supper basics and taught them how to pray! They wanted to come to church so bad (which is rare to find people like this so I was shakin in my boots of happiness) so were like okay we´re gunna come to pick you guys up at 7 am on Sunday and then we will take the bus together! So just to clarify, Cervantes doesn't have a chapel...or a ward...it used to be a branch, but they just closed the branch. Which is very hard for us missionaries because to get people to church we have to meet at teh bus stop at like /30 in the morn to take a bus to Roca in the city to the chapel. Anywayyys we went Sunday morn to get these two girls and I was just praying and praying in my heart that they would actually wake up early and come. By the way they live way in the middle of this huge orchard that is teh longest walk oh my my we got there and we clapped and we see the door open and they walked out! WOOOHOO! So we were so happy and all four of us took the bus together and went to church. Aldana is the cutest and I think was a lil tired cause in Sacrament meeting she just rested her head on my shoulder for a while haha. and Brinley!! I told her I have a sis who is basically her age and she wanted me to tell you that sh says Hola and says one day she hopes she can meet you!! SO these are our newest investigators and we are so exited to teach them.

Guess what... this is the last week of this transfer! crazy stuff. Hna Houston will probs be leaving, so we are sad and enjoying this last week together! Today is our zone pday so we are off to the chapel to play some futbol and eat some Argentine pizza. I love you all and hope you have a fabulous week! And hey hope you all enjoy general conference! I am so excited. The church is true!

Oh also, I am almost finished with the Book of Mormon. I had a goal to finish it before conference, and I am in 4th Nephi right now! I can say that I know it is the word of God and that this book truly has power. It testifies of our Savior Jesus Christ and as I read 3 nephi 11 this week, the spirit manifested to me that He truly lives. May we all remember His this week, and that because of Him, we all live and will live again.Love you all

Love Hermana Farrow

PS my newest fave missionary scripture is 3 Nephi 5 13. SO awesome. I love this work
